The Voluntary Services Team organise volunteer placements across Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust, which includes being a peer support worker or volunteer within the Humber Recovery College.

A big part of being a volunteer is talking and listening, encouraging and making people feel welcomed and supported. Although volunteering is not the same as work experience it can provide a valuable insight in to NHS work environments, enabling you to improve your skills and knowledge. Other benefits of being a volunteer can include improving confidence, meeting new people and even improving your mental health.
