Humber Recovery & Wellbeing College
Promoting Good Mental Wellbeing
The Voluntary Services Team organise volunteer placements across Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust, which includes being a peer support worker or volunteer within the Humber Recovery College. A big part of being a volunteer is talking and listening, encouraging and making people feel welcomed and supported. Although volunteering is not the same as work experience it can provide a valuable insight in to NHS work environments, enabling you to improve your skills and knowledge. Other benefits of being a volunteer can include improving confidence, meeting new people and even improving your mental health.
Would you like to improve someone's quality of life? Then why not find out about volunteering in the NHS?
Our information for volunteers leaflets, which can be found on the right hand side of the page, tells you about opportunities that are available.
