Practical Mindfulness is a course all about understanding what mindfulness really is and how we can introduce mindfulness practice into our everyday lives.

Practical Mindfulness

Our practical mindfulness course introduces the basics and the benefits of mindfulness in our personal lives.
In this course we will look at the definitions and practices of mindfulness as well as debunk some of the existing myths surrounding mindfulness.

This course also includes:

- Guided meditation: breath awareness/perceiving an object
- Present moment awareness
- Understanding mindfulness and how to use it in our personal life, for example helping to increase happiness and improving our cognitive sills
- Taking a look at how mindfulness can help with mental health challenges such as anxiety or depression.
- Definition of stress and how mindfulness can help prevent or elevate the impacts of stress.
- Taking a look at how mindfulness can be used as a tool to building resilience (noticing a busy mind and using breath or returning to breath)
- Taking a look at metacognition and decision making (the ability to observe your thoughts)

Practices to take away:

- Mindful exercises such as mindful eating (exploring senses) or mindful play (exploring experiences in the present moment)
- Mindful cooking exercise
- Guided meditation exercise
- How to create your own Mindful Journal or Morning pages
- Mindful breath techniques
